Mission

The Speech Production Lab is dedicated to improving the understanding of typical and disordered speech and feeding.

Our current research projects are focused on..

  1. understanding how various disorders, such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and childhood apraxia of speech, impair speech,
  2. understaning how children develop essential skills to chew and talk,
  3. developing innovative methods for improving the assessment and diagnosis of childhood communication impairments.
